My work focused on the effects of a potential endocrine disruptor, bisphenol A (BPA), on testis. My results showed that at doses below the NOAEL (No Observed Adverse Effect Level) dose, BPA induces oxidative stress and downregulates insulin signaling and glucose transport in testis of rats. Using bioinformatic approach, I have reported that BPA interacts with modeled structures of GLUT-2 and GLUT-8 proteins and inhibits glucose uptake in testis.
