I’m currently an internal communications writer for a supplement company. My job duties include maintaining and writing content for our employee intranet, writing and sending company-wide emails, writing text for internal posters and flyers, and creating content for our health and wellness programs. I’ve also had articles published on my company’s public facing blog.
Before accepting my current position I was a marketing writer for the same company, where I was responsible for creating content for online shareable ads, print magazine ads, and online/print articles.
I’m proficient at writing in both informal and formal tones. I avoid using unnecessary jargon, and I keep my writing as short and concise as possible. I understand the power of a well-placed verb or noun, and I leave most adjectives on the cutting room floor. Most importantly, I always write with my audience in mind.
I have a love for the written word, and I believe storytelling is the only true magic in this world.
