I moved to Uruguay in 2013 where I started teaching English at various institutes in Montevideo, and gained a lot of valuable teaching experience. I have since started taking on companies and private students as my own clients. Thanks to this experience, I've become fluent in Spanish.
I started SmallTalk in 2015 which consisted of conversation-based classes held in fun locations around Montevideo. The aim was to provide fun and informative classes with experienced, native teachers in a relaxed, real-world environment.
Through SmallTalk, I started taking on international companies in Uruguay as clients. I worked with them providing classes for the owners and employees and translating and editing documents, websites, and other web content. Currently, I split my time between teaching English and doing translations and editing for various clients. Some projects that I have especially enjoyed have been translating movie subtitles, theatre plays, and blogs.
