I was born and raised in China, thus have solid understanding of Chinese culture and language. I came to Canada at the age of 16 and I am currently attending McGill University and majoring in physiology.
I have worked as a counselor and instructor at a bilingual camp for the past 3 years. The work consisted in organizing and facilitating daily lessons and activities with foreign mentors. I was also responsible for oral and written translation for the camp, as well as assisting communications between students, parents and the foreign mentors. I am currently involving in the McGill International Buddy Program, which requires frequent translating and assisting.
I am passionate about travelling and community work. I have volunteered as English teachers in both Ecuador and Nepal.
