Online Content Writer and Editor

I began writing professionally in 2000 by applying 11 years of IT experience to developing documentation and training for enterprise-level hardware and software. I've used tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Visio; Adobe Acrobat, FrameMaker, and RoboHelp; and specialized applications such as SnagIt. Since 2010, I've diversified my writing to build an online portfolio in technology, politics, and sports that has accumulated over half a million unique reads. This portfolio doesn't reflect my writing's diversity. I've written product descriptions for a major auction site as well as online content on topics such as travel, health, personal finance, safety, cars, and music. I've always submitted this work through a client's CMS, sometimes importing a file I created with Microsoft Word. As a side benefit, fixing CMS formatting issues has improved my ability to code and troubleshoot HTML. I look forward to using the skills I've developed in research and written communication to help your business develop and refine its online presence.
