Writer, copy-editor and proofreader

I am a native-English-speaking graduate of the University of Cape Town, with extensive local and international experience in teaching (counselling, English, economics) and education management as teacher, vice principal and principal of a well-rated international school in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates, 2007-2016). Previous experience includes positions in training and development (senior training officer, group training manager), public affairs management, human resource management, recruitment and selection, and new school development and improvement, for international companies (inter alia Shell SA, Unilever, Venture SA). All of my previous positions have included some responsibility for writing, e.g. corporate newsletters, corporate training manuals, human resource policies and procedures, drafting senior management documents and presentations, etc. I seek assignments which encourage creative freedom to suggest improvements in content, structure and layout of drafted materials, as well as fulfilling briefs to write creative copy. I am available to consult on educational improvement, teacher recruitment and selection, and drafting of mission and vision statements. I am willing to travel locally and internationally on assignment at short notice.
