I am currently the supporter and developer on the ASAPP platform. On the front-end, it's a web platform developed using PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, MySQL. On the back-end, a multi-platform app is created for Android, iOS and Windows Phones using Cordova and some native code on all platforms (Android Java, Objective-C or Javascript using native Windows APIs). The front-end is responsible for managing user accounts, user newsstands and stand-alone publications. The user is able to create a newsstand-like app starting with a publication PDF file. The PDF is uploaded into the web platform and it's translated into the apps structure. The back-end actually is a multi-platform app. A newsstand-like app, for users to read content uploaded on the front-end site. The users are able to download publications, read them offline, interact with custom elements, watch videos, browse on in app browsers. All depending on what the publicator designed on the front-end.
