As one of the first women stationed aboard a combatant nuclear carrier, I have not only learned how to work very well under pressure, but never lose my sense of humor! I am a former Navy Photographer and Broadcast Journalist. I have 13 years of experience in photography while giving me extensive training in writing as well. I have photographed everything from aerials to high level VIP's. I think creatively but critically, and am a very quick learner. I will get the job done the right way, the first time. This body of work moves light out of the sidelines and onto the stage. I have always loved how using photography is sculpting light how you want around a subject to creat an image. However, I take this idea a step further by making light the subject in its pure form. These images are all of painted light, or technically refractography. I removed the lens from the camera and used the focused lightsource of a flashlight bouncing it off the glass and directly onto the cameras sensor.
