I am an Aerospace Engineer from the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands, specializing in Flight Performance and Propulsion. My research at the Animal Flight Lab at Lund University concerning with the solid modelling of a bird feather, its structural analysis and CFD. Portfolio

Modelling an object like a bird feather is far from trivial. With no 'blue prints' dictating the modelling process, it is a task to accurately measure and reproduce the model which in turn needs to be fit for structural analysis and CFD. I have developed my own methods to accurately retain the regions of interest in any modelling task, at the same time maintaining high efficiency and repeatability.

CAD Modelling of a bird feather. Image processing using Matlab, Photoshop and CorelDraw to obtain regions of interest from CT scans of the feather. Structural analysis including bending, torsion tests etc. CFD of the feather to predict the formation and effect of the feather morphology on the aerodynamics of the feather.
