International Student studying in Canada

I have a strong understanding between English and Mandarin, and now I'm studying at University of Victoria in Canada. I was in English major program for 2 years when I was in Yunnan University back in China. I changed my program into Econ since I thought English is only a tool in future, I passed IELTS (International English Test System) at a grade of 6.5 two years ago. I read some books in English as well, and I think I'm definitely qualified for translating jobs. Thank you
