The Dripping Point is a mixed media kinetic sculpture depicting the 26 greatest oil disasters in history. Using steel, ceramics, and mechanical parts The Dripping Point pumps oil out and across the surface of the globe collecting and cascading down to the oil derrick below. Just as the dependency for oil has its so called "Tipping Point" this sculpture allows the flow of oil to continue and collected until it reaches its own apex point. A point that may be beyond our ability to correct or manage.
