Business Analyst - Government Contracting, Financial Analysis

I have been a Business Analyst with a Small Business Development Center and with the Procurement and Technical Assistance Centers (now Apex) for over ten years, working with a variety of businesses including start-ups, high-tech companies, defense related companies and business seeking government contracting awards. As an Apex counselor I provided clients with government contracting assistance, including applying for and receiving SBA certifications for Woman Owned and Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned, Hubzone, 8(a) and Veteran Owned Businesses. I both review clients' responses to Federal solicitations and have assisted clients in preparing their proposals. I am considered a subject matter expert for Small Business Innovation Research grants (SBIR/STTR) with client receiving over $8.5 million dollars in SBIR awards. These awards have included Department of Defense, National Science Foundation and NASA awards. My education includes graduating from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science Degree, and a Master of Public Administration Degree from the University of Utah. I have both public and private business experience including running my own businesses and working for a Fortune 400 company as a department head, supervising a staff of 12. This staff provided a variety of services, including payroll, billing and logistics management. I offer my clients a complete set of skills, which include both private and public sector advise. They include: - Federal Government Contracting Woman Owned and Economically Disadvantage application - 8(a) certification and HUB Zone certification - Financial analysis, including cash flow, break even and ratio analysis - Business projection and marketing advise - Grant and loan advice and assistance - Small Business Innovation Research Grant application As part of my business analyst duties, I have reviewed and assisted literally hundreds of clients in the preparation of business plans which includes the most important part, their financial documents. I have worked with the USDA promoting Renewable Energy Program grant applications and have place $800k worth of REAP grant awards.
