Take showers rather than baths Take shorter showers Turn the shower off when applying soap, use water only when rinsing Use a full load in washing machines and dishwashers Use eco settings in washing machines and dishwashers Keep fruit and veg washing water, and use in garden Keep a jug or bottle of water in the fridge, to avoid running the cold tap Use a washing up bowl to wash the dishes (not a running tap) Avoid water use at peak times (0700-1100, 1600-2300) Turn off the tap when washing your teeth and hands (use water for rinsing only) Collect rainwater in a water butt
