I am a freelance data scientist with a strong background (and PhD) in biomedical research. My work relies heavily on data analysis, including examining large and often-messy data sets and utilizing techniques such as machine learning, building regression models, exploratory data analysis and the development of interactive apps and data visualizations. The majority of my analyses are performed in the statistical programming language R. I also have experience using Python and Octave/MatLab. At the moment, I am mostly interested in learning new fields within data science and data analytics and building up my portfolio. I am a native English speaker and have extensive experience in preparing scientific presentations and reports.
