An ex-fireman that had served the government for almost nine years. Around twelve years already have been serving full-time to my family from babysitter, cook, driver, laundryman, tutor to our three children on all subjects, and a snappy husband to my wife. I had attempted to return to my service as a fireman due to increasing family expenses then the fact that our youngest can manage herself already. However, there were revisions on rules of reinstatement.
As a father I need to struggle to become productive again for our children. I decided to try once more my unapplied skills as cobol and clipper programmer way back in 1994 taken in System Technology Institute (STI), Iloilo City. I started with an old Java book which finding so painful to start learning with. However, through persistent desire finding myself running and troubleshooting defective codes of simple sample programs. My career path is Java EE which html, css, and javascript are the prerequisites, so, I decided to learn web development first.
I learned it from W3schools and continue learning advanced topics. Countless hours spent on learning, exercises, and finally to my output the www.idcmedicine.com. A medical school website where my wife works as school registrar. Considering it my great achievement as a product of purely research from coding, debugging, publishing, and maintenance despite of my age to study an another field.
Aside from web development skills, also a graduate of Bachelor in Local Government Administration. Possessing a second level Civil Service Eligibility, the Career Service Professional. Also, an undergraduate of Mechanical Engineering where I got my analytical strength. Having other skills such as: martial arts expert (karate, some judo, boxing, knife fighting), yo-yo expert, singing, a sharp-shooter (during active in service), expert bike rider, and an expert truck driver.
