I am a seasoned financial professional whose background covers many organizations in various industries in the private sector as well as government. At this point in my career I am searching for an appropriate part time opportunity with an organization (regardless of size or industry) that can utilize my extensive experience in a supporting role to assist them in the completion of projects, process improvements, or filling the needs of a current position.
At my last two contract assignments at Cisco in RTP, I was involved with compilation and processing of sales commissions; as well as the analysis and processing of customer rebates. During this assignment I was able to streamline commission processing using Excel spreadsheets. In addition I was involved with rewriting certain job procedures.
At IBM I was responsible for reconciling Balance Sheet accounts prior to system conversion. I have also gained knowledge of extracting General Ledger data by running BRIO queries. At Cisco in RTP (2008-09) I assisted in the design of a quarterly forecast reporting system. While working at American Institute of CPA’s in Durham, I developed reconciliations to track Sales Commission reports against what was booked to the Oracle General Ledger. Because of this, communications between the Finance and Sales departments were improved.
Finally, I possess an M.B.A. from Florida Atlantic University and an Associates Degree in Accounting from Broward Community College.
