Description
The successful candidate must be able to work with a team of people and be hands on, while requesting assistance from or rebalancing the workload to other employees. This role also involves accounting and reconciliation tasks. This role reconciles all balance sheet accounts, monthly generating journal entries, assisting in generating financial statements and reports daily and monthly.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Process invoices using the 3-way matching method. This role requires extensive reconciliation for invoices sometimes
· Review all invoices for appropriate documentation, coding, and approval prior to payment
· Process invoices for expenses and inventory received, 200 plus line items, high volume environment
· Process payments – check, credit card, ACH, wire - Match invoices to payments, obtain signatures and distribute payments to vendors
· Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner
· Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
· 1099 maintenance
· Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
· Produce daily and monthly reports
· Receiving, cleaning, and uploading data to Sales Force from Excel sheets
· Reconciling all balance sheet accounts at the end of the month, prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, depreciation, … etc.
· Creating and uploading monthly general journal entries
EXPERIENCE
· Experience with applicable accounts payable systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures.
Experience analyzing and reconciling vendor accounts
· Proven ability to multitask and produce quality work with a high volume of output. Must be able to switch tasks in midstream and stay organized
SKILLS
Strong knowledge of accounts payable
Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately
Learns quickly and is willing to advance their current knowledge
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products with advanced knowledge of Excel. Excel skills are important and a must for this role.
· Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy, and timeliness
Strong problem solving skills, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis
Strong written, verbal communication and collaborative skills.

I read the entire description of your project. I am new to freelancing and this peopleperhour. However, I did my research on your accounts payable specialist job, and the pay seems fair for an expert level considering all of the specifications required for the job. Will the job entail a regular 40hr/wk schedule at the $45/hr? Additionally will there be paid training involved or is this more of a one time job that you need for an upcoming audit?
