Description
Experience Level: Expert
We are an ISO13485 certified medical device company and require an iphone app that can convert the intensity of a lateral flow test result line into a number, for example, in ng/mL representing the level of analyte in a blood sample for use on a hospital ward. We have detailed experimental data of the measurements to be used including appropriate r,b,g filter for the wavelength of the transmitted light and ways to minimise the effect of different environmental lighting, but now require an experienced app designer of medical devices to use our experimental data for development of a simple to use iphone app.
The end user will need to enter 4-parameters either manually or via a QR or barcode that describe the shape of the calibration curve that represents the concentration of analyte in the sample and the intensity of the test result line. These four parameters are specific for each type of analyte and each lot of the reagents used.
In practice, we would expect the user to;
1) enter the 4 parameters
3) point the iphone camera at the lateral flow cassette (similar to a COVID-19 lateral flow cassette)
3) take a photo within the app
4) the software would provide a number together with the name of the test and units of measurement
