About you
You’re a top-notch Freelance Copywriter with a creative flair and a love of words. You’re confident that your work produces tangible, measurable and engaging results. You’re confident in managing a campaign end-to-end, and in prioritising your workload to ensure that work is planned clearly, communicated effectively, and executed efficiently.
You write incredible copy - the kind that is turned into a dinner conversation across thousands of households, mentioned over after-work drinks with colleagues and quoted by every person you know. You can apply appropriate tone of voice and commercial tact to any kind of subject matter and will accept nothing less than impeccable spelling, grammar, and formatting. You’re data-driven. If you can’t measure it, you can’t improve it – so you won’t write it. You’re an excellent communicator, confident and professional via email, over video call, and in person.
You’re a self-reliant go-getter who gets a kick out of identifying new opportunities and a buzz from seeing increased engagement. You can give and take constructive criticism, offer insightful feedback, and have light bulb moments on a regular basis.
For each and every project you complete for us, you will report directly to the Head of Marketing, but you’ll need to think on your feet and hit the ground running. In terms of the ad-hoc projects we give you, you will be responsible for all customer, and investor-related comms across the board. We're a primarily remote organisation so you can work from anywhere across the UK.
We’re a start-up, which means we’re moving very fast and working very hard – and this is a busy role working with a lot of mission-critical projects that must be attended to concurrently. Key freelance responsibilities:
Writing amazing copy in the Locket tone of voice for a variety of audiences, e.g. customers, investors, partners, colleagues. (Copywriting)
Collaborating with our content and creative teams to commission and create compelling, shareable content. (Content)
Identifying opportunities to distribute our content to third-party placements such as blogs, influencers etc.
Proofreading, design testing, and ensuring brand consistency across all user touchpoints.
The person we’ll ask to do freelance tasks for us will have a strong mix of the below:
Impeccable attention to detail
Engaging and effective UX writing, and copywriting for conversion
Great interpersonal skills - an excellent communicator and storyteller
Enthusiasm and a friendly attitude
Self-motivation
Ability to adhere to tight deadlines
At least 2 years relevant experience
