Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
Build a tool that ingests a JSON file, displays it as a Gantt chart, receives updates through the display, and then saves the updates to the JSON file.
* languages: the source can be Python and/or javascript
* license: all work and included modules/libraries/etc. must be done so that the resulting work (source) is able to be released under an MIT license
* other details:
* charts must support at least 5000 items without crashing (not all of them have to be displayed simultaneously) on a computer with 8 GB of RAM
* each item on the chart must be able to be configured with: name, start date, end date, optional multiple starting dependencies, and optional multiple ending dependencies
* each item on the chart must be able to be edited via mouse input for the following aspects: start date, end date, optional multiple starting dependencies, and optional multiple ending dependencies
* the chart must highlight the critical path
* the chart should support at least two levels of nested tasks
* the code must be commented/documented so that development can continue (as needed) by others
