With a background in international politics and international history I have improved my research skills, having also traced family history and am always on the lookout to further enhance my expertise through experience. Not afraid to grit my teeth and get down to work I will try to produce any information and/or provide services pertaining to copy-editing and proofreading to the best of my ability. Advanced knowledge of copy editing and proofreading with a background in business communication and academic writing. I have in the past taught canoeing in America to young children and this taught me to continually assess and reassess environments, to notice little things and correct them as well as creating different ways to help others learn according to their abilities. I have a background in debating and public speaking and have won several competitions with the speeches I have written and edited many times. I do not stop editing until I am happy with the end result, otherwise I will not put my name at the end of it. If I am unsure of anything I will ask, I will not assume. I work from time to time for a family computer software business depending on the task they need help with. It was through this that I began to realise my attention to detail and had a eye for problem solving with databases. During my time as Treasurer of Aberystwyth University Sailing Club I not only represented the club as a team member as events but organised with the social secretary events to raise money for new equipment, most importantly a safety boat (of which we had none), as well as working, and succeeding in doing so, to get the club out of financial difficulty, from being heavily in the negative to being of sufficient strength to look at expanding its current fleet whilst affording bills.
