The main concept behind this design is to create a comfortable and aesthetically-pleasing pavilion where smokers can take a break in while adding value to the aesthetics of the vicinity. Surrounded by composite wood louvres, the pavilion provides smokers with a comfortable environment to smoke in by blocking out direct sunlight and rain while providing sufficient air ventilation. The use of such spaced-out louvres also creates visual interaction between the users and the surroundings so that they will feel as though there isn’t a physical barrier between them and the exterior environment. With seating provided on all 3 sides of the pavilion, there is also sufficient space for users to sit around while smoking, which is another major attraction factor.
