What I did was build a wrapper for the REST API of runnr.in (hyper local delivery service) into PHP, to do some requests and place shipment orders directly from a simple HTML form.

OAuth2 authentication is on-the-fly (token is generated before doing the actual request), so no user interaction is needed to use the service.

Oishilondon is a food blog which contains reviews of restaurants/pubs/bars in London.
Using Google Places API, with a textbox in the Edit Post page of Wordpress, I've fetched data about those places (including Opening Hours, Lat/Lng, Address, Websites and Phone Number) and stored them in a custom post field.
Then I've created a page which shows each post of the blog (as a pin) on a Google Maps map.
The posts are live-updated and you can use a variety of filters: category filters, keyword filters (searching by post name, post content, post tags), place search (you insert a place in the bar and the map centers on that place) and also opening hours filters (where you can decide an opening hour/day or check which place is opened right now).
Using HTML5 you can also use GPS geolocalization to move the map on your position (of course, old browsers are supported using standard IP localization).

He abandoned project in the middle and disappeared for months straight and the project was full of bugs. He could do good if he really care about the project but he decided not to care for my project for some reason. So I had no choice but to give this review.
