I work as a Systems Engineer in Global Infrastructure Operations Division. I am responsible for installing and supporting AIX, SLES, Red Hat, and CentOS Linux servers in physical and virtual environments and also support existing Complex AIX & Linux environments. I work 40 hours per week. My working hours are starting from 9:30AM to 4:00PM CST with one hour lunch break. I will finish remaining couple of left over hours in the midnights to implement change record’s (CR) which includes servers rebooting, and patch works for server operating systems. In addition to this the duties I perform includes but are not limited to leading technical aspects of a project and issues within functional technical area and cross functional area, works independently with IT functional units and business units, and recommends strategies for technical aspects of projects as well as broad system improvements, with a focus on Linux & AIX Systems. This position requires personnel with specialized skills and experience to handle complex business logic and consider the criticality and sensitivity of financial transactions and ensures adherence to established technology standards and consults with senior leadership to deploy Linux & AIX technology solutions.
