About

If you can think it, I can draw it

I've been drawing all of my life. I spent nine years in the Army Infantry, designing and applying tattoos to guys in my unit, and when I got out I found my first art gig designing images to be air-brushed on the prosthetic limbs of amputee vets (GTOPI.com).

I love my job, love my art, and love working with people who have a vision of what they need. Like the tag line says, if you can think it up, I can draw it down. I work primarily in Photoshop, but can deliver the art in any and all formats needed (JPEG, PNG, PDF, PSD, AI/vector, TIFF, etc.)

For the last three years this has been my life. Draw pictures for clients, then sit back and marvel when I stumble across my art being used by them in stores, on the web, or on products.

If you have something you need, drawn, contact me. I would love to add you to my client list.

Work Terms

I LIKE TO WORK ON COMMISSION:

The problem with working hourly is that it makes trust on both ends difficult. How does the client know if I'm not padding my hours? How do I know it will only be a 10 hour job without knowing how many edits are needed? A commission is fair. X amount of money for Y amount of work. No worrying about hours, padding, or any of that.

NO MONEY UPFRONT:

Maybe my computer crashes, maybe I have an accident. That's not your fault and you shouldn't be out any amount of money if I can't finish the job. I only accept payment at the end of the job. No art, no money. That's fair.

NO CAP ON REVISIONS:

Having a cap on revisions isn't fair to the client. The client shouldn't settle because they hit some magic number set by the artist. So long as the changes are reasonable, I'll make as many revisions as necessary. However, I won't spend six months tweaking an image in increments either.

CLIENT HAS ALL THE RIGHTS:

A standard line in my invoice states that once money changes hands, I only have the right to put the image in my portfolio. Use, sale, changes, and sub-license rights go to the clients. You paid for it, it's yours.

I LOVE A CHALLENGE:

The crazier the idea, the more fun and challenging it will be. I love being tested and pushed. If your idea sounds insane, PLEASE drop me a line. Nothing more fun than trying to create the impossible.

WORK IS FUN:

I am a professional artist, but I won't act stiff and proper as I work. If my initial design isn't what you want, tell me "it looks like crap." I won't be offended. I have so much fun at work that I don't offended. The majority of my work is for other artists (web designers, bands, apparel companies) and the work-relationship is relaxed and open.

YOU'RE THE BOSS:

I draw what you want. End of story. I will not try to push my thoughts/designs over yours. I work for you. You say draw, I say "yes sir!"
