I am a storyteller.
My passion is features. I write a weekly fashion column and fitness column, and I also cover pop culture, health, music, religion, food, home and garden, family, arts and youth.
I have 13 years of experience as a professional journalist for publications, including the Boulder Daily Camera. I am a regular blogger for the Huffington Post Weird News and my Hollywood Red Carpet coverage through Digital First Media is nationally syndicated, appearing in media outlets like the Boston Globe. I have been the editor-in-chief of multiple women's magazines.
I also specialize in travel writing. I write daily travel articles for ShopAtHome.com (4.5 million Facebook fans) and for SpaTravelGal.com, considered the most influential voice in luxury and spa travel.
I traveled Haiti and Africa to write award-winning, in-depth, narrative-style articles about the economic and health plights.
For two years, I worked on Media News Group's IdeaLab, an elite team of journalists nationwide who explored how to use new media and technology to improve the field. I am the "modern Lois Lane," a mobile journalist.
In addition, I have edited and contributed to many books, including for Alpha/Penguin publishing (codeswitching.biz) and Fodor's, the world's largest English-language travel guide company, published by RandomHouse.
