Gateway RS-232 to DALI
This was the final work of my course of studies.
Using the hardware description language VHDL, a Gateway RS-232 to DALI was developed in a FPGA Cyclone III EP3C16 of a DE0 Altera developement kit. It involves a system wich function is to be the link between two differents communication protocols. The first one RS-232 come from a computer through a serial port. The second one is the DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) protocol, used to control electronic balasts.
