I have a PhD in Marine, Estuarine and Environmental Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, and an MS in Biology from Morehead State University (KY). My experience in writing and editing is extensive, as demonstrated by more than 60 professional publications, including books I have edited.
In 2015, I retired from a 35-year career in government and academia, where I specialized in environmental science and management. Besides writing and editing, my expertise includes statistics, data analysis and interpretation, and mathematical modeling.
I have worked successfully with authors at all levels from undergraduate to senior scientist, and from many nationalities. Late in my career, one of my responsibilities with a federal research laboratory was to assist scientists in getting their research published.
